Tasman is barrister and mediator with an interest in dispute resolution.  

 

Mediation Practice  

Tasman has conducted mediations in the following areas: 

Wills and estates in particular Testator Family Maintenance matters, property including caveat removal, defamation, construction and breach of contract debt recovery.  

Tasman is an accredited NMAS mediator and mediates in disputes covering all areas of law and is available for referrals in the following schemes: 

  • County Court of Victoria (Commercial Division) Referral Protocol 

  • County Court of Victoria (Family Property) List Panel 

  • Federal Circuit Court and Family Court (Commercial Panel) 

  • Federal Circuit Court and Family Court (Family Law Property) 

  • Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (List of External Mediators) 

Advocacy Practice 

Tasman accepts briefs as counsel to advise and appearance briefs in a range of commercial matters including wills & estates.  

Prior to being called to the Bar, Tasman was a busy solicitor advocate in government and private practice across a range of jurisdictions and areas of law. 

Teaching 

Tasman is currently an adjunct lecturer in the GDLP at the College of Law Victoria and has taught at Monash and the Australian Catholic University as well as instructor coach and assessor in the Lawyer’s Mediation Certificate.
