Paul is currently undertaking the Victorian Bar Readers Course, and will be available to accept briefs from 1 October 2026.
Paul welcomes briefs within his specialised practice focus area: planning and environment law, environmental regulation and climate-related matters. He also accepts briefs in general commercial litigation, property and building disputes, civil matters, summary crime and public and administrative law. Paul accepts advice matters, as well as advocacy briefs in metro and regional Victoria.
Before coming to the Bar, Paul built a successful career spanning more than 15 years in senior commercial and strategic roles with multinational corporations and environmentally attuned businesses. He held leadership positions with Procter & Gamble, L'Oréal and Ecostore. In those roles, he advised on commercial strategy, led complex negotiations, managed major client relationships and regularly engaged with senior executives and key commercial stakeholders.
Paul's extensive commercial and retail background provides him with a practical understanding of how organisations make decisions, navigate risks and approach competing interests. He possesses strong advocacy, communication and strategic problem-solving skills from his past career that now inform his legal practice.
Paul's academic and professional interests focus on environmental law issues. He holds a Master of Environment (Climate Change) from the University of Melbourne, in which he achieved First Class Honours, a Juris Doctor, and is currently completing a Master of Laws specialising in Environmental Law.
Paul brings to his practice mature professional judgment, strong written and oral advocacy skills, commercial acumen and a passion for environmental and public law.
