John Hall is a barrister who specialises in Family Law litigation and a broad range of Mediation work.    John originally hails from Country Victoria and celebrates close connections with regional briefers.  He enjoys being briefed as counsel on Circuits, as well as Melbourne metro matters.

John conducts Mediations in Melbourne Metro, regionally as well as online.

John came to the Bar in 1982 and has been a NMAS Accredited Mediator since 2013.   In 2016 became listed Arbitrator (Family Law) following AIFLAM qualification.  He is also an accredited ADR Specialist in Mediation (LIV 1996).  He holds LIV Family Law Accredited specialisation and he has been a Coach and Examiner for the Lawyer’s Mediation Certificate – Victorian Bar 2018 – to present

John is admitted in Victoria, NSW and Tasmania and accepts interstate briefs.

Estate matters (Part IV – TFM, contested Wills etc);

Building and Construction matters (All aspects – Builder/client; Developer/Builder; Builder/sub-contractor.  John has personally overseen many building projects and is well placed to mediate these disputes)

Commercial disputes.
