Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Monash University in 2000, working at a senior level in both commercial and regulatory settings before coming to the Victorian Bar in 2014.

He has a broad commercial and family law practice.

He practises extensively in family law and associated jurisdictions, including Magellan cases and appearing for the independent children’s lawyer in parenting matters, as well as in a broad range of commercial and other matters. He appears in proceedings including child protection proceedings, retail and residential tenancy disputes, review of administrative decisions, partnership disputes, and criminal matters prosecuted by non-police bodies such as the ATO and local authorities, and in forums including the Federal Circuit Court, Children’s Court, Family Court, Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Supreme Court, and VCAT.

Jason is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and is a member of AIFLAM including its Fixed Fee Mediation Scheme.

Jason has wide experience in all aspects of therapeutic goods/medicines regulation including the regulation of advertising and other promotional activity. He is currently a Chair of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct Committee, and a Chair of the Medical Technology Association of Australia Code Monitoring Committee.
