Before returning to the Bar, Calum was a Partner at Lander & Rogers, Johnson Winter & Slattery, and Norton Rose, where he practised in commercial litigation and competition law.

Recent significant cases include:

Sheen Panel Service (Vic) Pty Ltd v Chubb Insurance Australia Limited & Anor (Ongoing) (Federal Court) –claim against management liability policy. Case includes claims of unconscionable conduct, misleading and deceptive conduct, and false representation against insurance broker.

Macalone Pty Ltd v Sheen Prestige Pty Ltd (ongoing) (Supreme Court of Victoria) – Defence of Claim for trading trust moneys, including treatment of unpaid present entitlements.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories SA v OneVentures Fund Management Pty Ltd & Ors (2021) (Supreme Court of Victoria) – claim for misleading conduct over sale of intellectual property (pharmaceuticals)

Application by Port of Newcastle Operations Pty Ltd [2019] ACompT 1 – review of ACCC arbitration determination under Pt IIIA of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, led by Neil Young KC and Nicholas De Young
