Veronica accepts briefs to appear and advise in commercial, public law and common law matters. She also accepts briefs direct from in-house counsel.
Veronica has a broad general commercial practice and is briefed as both sole counsel and as junior counsel. She regularly appears in state and federal courts and in tribunals. Her experience includes contractual disputes, competition and consumer law, corporations law, insurance disputes, property disputes, equity and trusts, bankruptcy and insolvency, intellectual property and employment disputes.
Veronica holds degrees in Arts and Law and has a Master of Laws from The University of Melbourne.
Before coming to the Bar, Veronica practised as a solicitor in the commercial disputes team at Gadens. Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Veronica was also the Senior Associate to the Honourable Peter Almond of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Veronica read with Andrew Hanak KC and her senior mentor was Claire Harris KC, now Harris J of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Committees
Veronica is currently the co-deputy chair of the Climate Change Section of the Commercial Bar Association of Victoria (CommBar). She is also the co-deputy editor of the annual publication Australian Climate Change Litigation: Annual Review (2024).
Veronica is currently a member of CommBar. Between 2023 to 2024, Veronica was an executive member of CommBar. Previously Veronica was the Honorary Secretary of CommBar from 2022 to 2023.
Veronica has also held executive positions on the Women Barristers Association, the Victorian Bar News and on the Student Engagement Committee.
