Admitted in 1996, Kyriaki is a skilled advocate appearing in the County and Magistrates’ Court across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
She returns to the Bar, after undertaking the first quality of service and professional standards compliance audit of indictable criminal matters as a Quality Auditor at Victoria Legal Aid.
She invites matters involving regulatory compliance, disciplinary proceedings, ethics and professional misconduct.
She has appeared in indictable criminal matters including trials in the County Court for both the prosecution and defence.
Also expert in child protection proceedings in the family division of the Children’s Court, she has run long, complex matters for the Department of Health and Human Services and appeared on behalf of children, parents and other extended family.
She is committed to providing high quality legal representation on behalf of private individuals, government and agencies.
She is mindful legal practitioner dedicated to acting with integrity, with a particular interest in laws affecting children, the elderly and persons subject to orders under mental health legislation.
She has prosecuted workers’ compensation and occupational health and safety criminal prosecutions.
Kyriaki holds training qualifications and has written and delivered criminal justice, human rights and community welfare law subjects as a sessional teacher.
