George Glezakos

Bar Roll – May 2018

About

George accepts briefs in a broad range of areas, with a focus on family law (including de facto relationships); commercial litigation; criminal matters; property; and wills and estates.

Before joining the Bar, George was a partner of a successful medium size firm, practising in a variety of areas.  George would regularly appear in the Family and Federal Circuit Courts, and other courts and tribunals, including Supreme, County and Magistrates Courts and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).

Having attained Accreditation by the Law Institute of Victoria as a Family Law Specialist in 2009, George has since that time focused primarily on family law and related jurisdictions, whilst still maintaining his broad practice.

As an experienced solicitor advocate and a partner in a busy practice, George elected to focus primarily on advocacy and joined in the bar in May 2018.

George has previously been actively involved in the community sector as a volunteer and committee member of the (then) Essendon Community Legal Service.

George is a fluent speaker of Greek.
