About

George accepts briefs to appear in and advise on matters with a focus on family law and related areas of practice, including parenting and property matters, as well as to conduct mediations.

Before coming to the Bar, George was a partner in a successful medium-sized firm, practising in a variety of areas.  As a solicitor advocate, George regularly in the former Federal Circuit Court and Family Court (now the Federal Circuit and Family Court), and all Victorian Courts.

George attained Accreditation by the Law Institute of Victoria as a Family Law Specialist in 2009.  Since that time, George been primarily engaged in family law and related matters, such as intervention orders, and has continued to primarily practice in that area in his time at the Bar.

After some 18 years of experience practicing as a solicitor advocate and a partner in a busy firm, George elected to focus on advocacy by coming to the Bar.

George’s breadth of experience and his years of practice as a solicitor mean that he is attuned to the needs of clients and instructing solicitors.

George is a member of the Family Law Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM) and is a Nationally Accredited (NMAS) Mediator.

George completed his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne in 1999 and has previously been actively involved in the community sector as a volunteer and committee member of the (then) Essendon Community Legal Service.

George is a fluent speaker of Greek.
