About

Geoff has a broad practice and accepts briefs across all areas of the law.

He was previously a lawyer at Minter Ellison Lawyers where he practised for seven years in the Commercial Disputes practice group. Geoff has broad commercial, political, media and government experience – particularly across the superannuation, local government and water industries.

Beyond legal practice, he is the chair of Vision Super (a $9 billion industry super fund), a director of South Gippsland Water, a councillor and former mayor of the City of Monash and a director of the peak body of the profit-to-member super sector, the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST).

He is a past board member of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) and he has led the local government sector at a state and national level as president of the Municipal Association of Victoria and the Australian Local Government Association.

Since 2016, Geoff has presented a fortnightly segment on Tom Elliott’s Drive program on 3AW.

Based on his diverse experiences both within and beyond the law, Geoff brings a unique perspective to the work he accepts.

He enthusiastically accepts electronic briefs and welcomes direct briefs from clients in the appropriate circumstances.
