Ingrid’s practice is in family law and Guardianship and Administration, including the new Powers of Attorney Act 2014 (Vic) and the care and protection jurisdiction.

Ingrid has acted in a number of matters concerning donors’ capacity and declarations as to validity. She also undertakes other work in the VCAT jurisdiction including the Property Co-ownership (Property and Building) list and the Human Rights list.

Ingrid has appeared in many family law matters in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court.

She has also appeared extensively in the Magistrates Court (including appearing in Intervention Order matters) and the County and Supreme Courts.

Ingrid is a nationally accredited mediator, and has taught and assessed at the Bar Reader’s Course. She is currently a mentor in the inaugural 2015 Victorian Bar and LTI Mentoring Program where she mentors a junior member of the New Guinea Bar.

As a junior barrister, Ingrid acted for the ACCC in its action against Visy Holdings, and for the EPA in its action relating to the Cranbourne Brookland Greens Estate gas leak, amongst other matters.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Ingrid held senior positions in the State Government including Manager of Information and Privacy at the Department of Justice. She has presented on FOI at the Leo Cussen Institute and has prior experience in commerce and the visual arts.

Ingrid enjoys participating in the Victorian Bar Choir and is also an accomplished artist.
