About

Douglas is available to appear and advise in a broad range of civil matters. His principal areas of practice include family law, wills & estates and property disputes. He appears routinely in appeals, trials and mediations. Douglas has a strong connection with Regional people and issues.

Douglas also has an NMAS Mediator Initial Accreditation which has been approved by the Bar Council.

Douglas also serves as a Major General in the Australian Army.  He is currently appointed Head of the Joint Support Services Division with responsibilities that include national policy settings and engangement for ADF Reserves.  Douglas was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) for his command of a rifle company in Malaysia in response to the 2005 Boxing Day Tsumani on OP SUMATRA ASSIST and made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2021 for his command of the 4th Brigade and Joint Task Force 646 on OP BUSHFIRES ASSIST 2019-2020.
