About

Since coming to the bar in 1998, Andrew has practised largely in the area of commercial litigation. Andrew’s practice covers most areas of commercial litigation including Trusts, professional negligence, bankruptcy, property law and corporations law. He has appeared as junior counsel in a number of important commercial cases including the litigation arising from the defalcations by Mr. Max Green from the Aroni Colman trust account.

Prior to coming to the bar, Andrew was a senior associate with Deacons Graham and James. His practice covered a wide area of commercial litigation but principally involved litigious matters concerning corporations, insolvency and property. He appeared regularly in most Victorian courts and the Federal Court. He was also the solicitor with the principal conduct of the successful class action brought by approx. 4500 shareholders of Pyramid Building Society against the State of Victoria, the building society, its auditors, the Reserve Bank and others.

In the years 1982-91 Andrew practised as a Veterinary Surgeon. He studied for his law degree part time whilst still in Veterinary practice. He joined Darval McCutcheon which merged with Philips Fox on 30th June 1993 as an articled clerk in March 1991 and remained with that firm as an employee solicitor in their Commercial Litigation Division until June 1994.
