Samantha accepts briefs to appear in criminal and quasi-criminal matters across all metropolitan and regional courts in Victoria.

Samantha is an experienced solicitor advocate having appeared regularly in criminal matters across jurisdictions in regional Victoria. She has appeared for both the Defence and the Prosecution.

She spent time working in the Shepparton Victoria Legal Aid branch where she regularly appeared in the Children’s Court and Magistrates’ Court for contested bail applications, summary contest mentions and pleas. Before joining Victoria Legal Aid, Samantha was a senior lawyer with Victoria Police where she had carriage of complex summary matters and gained extensive experience appearing in contested hearings.

Samantha has a particular interest in the Children’s Court and has appeared in the criminal division regularly. She is well versed in the doctrine of doli incapax and the Victoria Police youth policy.

Samantha has also appeared in contested intervention order hearings.

She is reading with Paul Kounnas and her senior mentor is Sharon Lacy SC.
