About

Ned practices predominantly in regulatory matters and the Family Division of the Children’s Court. He welcomes both appearance and advice briefs from law firms, State and Federal Government, and from in-house counsel.

Ned has depth and breadth of experience in regulatory and administrative law attained from 10 years working for Victorian Government regulators. Ned is well versed in statutory schemes that regulate occupations and provide for disciplinary action to be taken. Ned draws on his experience working for regulators during legislative reform to advise on statutory construction.

Ned will add significant value to any matter of a novel nature that involves a statutory scheme. He was the instructing solicitor in Legal Services Board v Gillespie-Jones (2013) 249 CLR 493.

Ned works to understand his client’s goals, provides useful advice and presents his client’s best case.
