Leo enjoys a diverse practice with a particular focus on Industrial/Employment Law, Public International Law and Common Law.

This includes advising and appearing in unfair dismissal and general protections applications, disputes regarding construction of employment contracts and enterprise agreements, restraint of trade clauses and workplace investigations, along with workers compensation claims, discrimination matters and whistleblower disputes.

After signing the Bar Roll in 2017, Leo also achieved a Masters of Public and International Law from the University of Oslo, submitting a thesis on a comparative analysis of UN whistleblowing laws.

Before coming to the Bar, Leo worked in-house as an Industrial/Employment Lawyer, firstly in the manufacturing sector and then in education. His clients included employers, individual employees, the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) and JobWatch. This work involved Federal Court litigation, arbitration and conciliation at FairWork Australia, negotiation, mediation and advice regarding the drafting of contracts, policies and deeds of settlement. He has also advised on workplace intellectual property disputes.

Leo has extensive experience as a Common Law litigation lawyer, including negligence and fraud matters.
