About

Victoria came to the bar with broad commercial law experience having worked in Melbourne and in London.

As a barrister Victoria has developed an expertise in the area of employment and industrial relations law.

Victoria’s expertise in this area is further enhanced by her academic experience in teaching, writing and researching in the area of employment and industrial relations law.

Victoria has worked as an academic at Deakin Law School and the Australian National University. She is currently employed as a senior lecturer at Central Queensland University located at their Spencer Street Campus in Melbourne where she teaches Employment Law, Legal Professional Conduct and Introduction to Law.

Victoria holds a PhD in law. Her thesis was titled ‘Rethinking the Employer’s summary dismissal power under the contract of employment.’

Victoria is also the co-author and editor of the leading annotated text of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) published by Thomson Reuters annually.

Victoria has been the President of the Industrial Relations Society of Victoria and a past member of the Australian Labour Law Association National Committee and the Committee of the Industrial Bar Association.

Victoria currently serves on the committee of the Industrial Relations Society of Victoria.
