He has published many books and articles on family law and alternative dispute resolution. He has a Doctor of Philosophy from Wolfson College, Oxford and a Master of Laws with 1st Class Honours from Trinity Hall, Cambridge and previously held positions at Melbourne, Manchester and Ohio State Universities.
